PROBLEMS WE SOLVE · CYCLE TIME
Your cycle is longer than it needs to be. Find the seconds you can safely cut.
Every second of cycle time costs machine hours, every shift, for the life of the tool. Many cycles are set long “to be safe” because nobody knows where the real limit is. Cutting time blindly risks warpage, sinks or ejection problems.
Typical causes
Cooling time set by the thickest section: one thick area dictates the cycle for the whole part.
Cooling layout: channels too far from the part, or hot spots around cores and inserts.
Mold temperature and coolant flow: too little flow or the wrong temperature slows heat removal.
Packing time longer than needed: the gate has already frozen, but the machine keeps holding pressure.
Safety margins: settings carried over from an earlier part or a first trial and never revisited.
How we find it
We simulate cooling and packing and show how long each area of the part really needs. You see what limits the cycle: a thick section, a hot spot or the packing time. We then show which changes shorten it without hurting part quality, such as cooling layout, mold temperatures, hold time or a small design change.
BEFORE STEEL IS CUT
Design the cooling for the target cycle time from the start.
ON A RUNNING TOOL
Find the safe process changes first, then decide if a tool change pays off.
